HOW TO ASSIGN A CONSTANT DRIVE LETTER FOR A CARD READER / USB STICK

STEPS TO BE FOLLOWED:

Step 1: Select a drive letter that you wish to change in this i have selected a drive letter j:

Step 2: Now Open command prompt and type diskpart


 Step 3: Now type list volume this command will display all the volume 



Step 4: Then type select volume j which U wanted to change my drive letter



Step 5: Type remove letter j which will now remove your current drive letter



 Step 6: Now assign a letter by typing assign letter n 



Step 7: Finally you can see your drive letter has been changed.

 

That's how a constant drive letter is assigned to a card reader or to a usb stick
